My name is Kulthida, and my nickname is Fai. I am currently a Grade 11 (Mathayom 5) student in Buriram Province.
I have lived with my grandfather and grandmother since childhood because my parents divorced. My grandparents work as general laborers with unstable and uncertain income. My mother works in another province and is able to send some money to help support them when possible. From a young age until now, I have always helped my grandparents with work, including cutting sugarcane, harvesting rice, cutting and collecting cassava roots. I have never felt ashamed of doing manual labor; instead, I am proud to help ease my grandparents’ burden. After returning home from school each day, I regularly help with all household chores.

Our house is old, with a leaking roof and no modern conveniences. We only have an old refrigerator and television, as my family lives in poverty. I receive 40 baht per day for school expenses, and I bring homemade meals to school every day to save money on lunch. My grandmother rides a motorcycle to take me to school every morning.

I enjoy studying Biology, English, Physics, Mathematics, and Health Education. I have participated in handwriting competitions every year since lower secondary school and regularly
take part in school activities such as drawing and coloring contests, handwriting competitions, and academic quiz competitions.
My dream is to become a teacher. I wish to continue my studies and become a science teacher, as I truly enjoy this subject and always pay close attention in class. I believe teaching is a stable and honorable profession that allows one to continuously gain knowledge and pass it on to others. Teachers help shape individuals of quality and play an important role in building a better society.

The reason I am applying for an educational scholarship is because I want to reduce the financial burden on my grandparents, as my family does not have sufficient resources to support my education. I sincerely hope to be given this opportunity. If I receive the scholarship, I promise to study diligently until I complete upper secondary school and plan to continue my education at a public university to minimize expenses.
I will use this scholarship to its fullest potential so that I can fulfill my dream of becoming a science teacher and turn that dream into reality.
Thank you very much for your kindness and generosity.
