Oumboon, a Grade 7, Surin Province
Applicant for a Scholarship for Students with Disabilities in Inclusive Schools
for the 2025 Academic Year

I am a student with a physical disability. My family consists of four members: my father, my mother, my older sister, and myself. My father works as a daily-wage car wash worker, earning 250 baht per day. However, if he falls ill or is unable to work, he receives no income at all.

My mother is unemployed and has no source of income. Due to her age and the need to take care of me at home, she finds it difficult to get a stable job. Occasionally, when opportunities arise, she takes on house cleaning or gardening work to help support the family.

My older sister once dreamed of pursuing higher education, but due to our financial hardship, she was only able to complete a vocational certificate (Por Wor Chor) before she had to stop studying and start working. She is now a daily-wage worker and the main breadwinner of our family, covering all our household expenses. We live in a rented one-story concrete house with only one room, paying a monthly rent of 1,800 baht. All of us sleep in the same space and live as frugally as possible.

Every day is a struggle, but I refuse to give up. I want to study as much as I can to secure a better future for myself and to help my family, even if only in a small way. Receiving this scholarship would help ease the financial burden of my education, covering tuition fees and other school-related expenses. It would allow me to continue my studies without being a burden on my parents and sister.

If I am fortunate enough to receive this scholarship, I promise to study diligently and do my best—for my future and for my family. Thank you to everyone who considers giving me this opportunity.
