We do not have our own rice fields to grow rice. My mother works as a seasonal worker and no regular job. The COVID-19 pandemic has turned things worse and my mother could barely find enough work.

 

Tawanchay always helps his mother sort out the trash and do various chores at home.
 

If there is no work, she sorts garbage and old scraps to be sold. She has an old truck to carry garbage and scraps back home, but the truck breaks down very often. We live in a small house with rubbish and old scraps piled up around the house. I always help my mother sort out the trash and do various chores at home. Even in my spare time, I rarely could go out to play like other children.

I am not talkative and I am very shy. If I have a chance to get a scholarship, I promise to study hard and do my best for my future.  When I grow up, I want to grow fruits for selling and earn money to take care of my mother.
