| On 24th- 27th January 2011, EDF staff visited NGOs, government office, Burmese Learning center and 3 Thai schools in Mae Sot and rural area where there are number of Burmese children stay. |

There are thousands of Myanmar Migrant’s children are living around Mae Sot and its rural area. We had visited Tak Educational Service Area 2 (Tak ESA2), 3 Thai Schools and Burmese learning center which are supported by International NGOs.
We had shared information and exchanged ideas with Deputy Director of Tak ESA2 , NGOs and surveyed Ban Meepa Nuea School, Huay Namnak Wittaya School, Ban Kangpiban school and 4 Burmese learning centers within 4 days and 3 nights trip. We had received the greater vision and knowledge of the Myanmar Migrants situation, Burmese children’s Education, Thai-Myanmar border situations and their families’ difficulties in Thai – Burma Border.
By mid of March 2011, EDF will plan to do our feasibility survey inside Myanmar.
