Study Trips
A great way to appreciate the people, culture and challenges of the rural Northeast Thailand is to visit and experience the region firsthand.  EDF runs Study Trips for Thais and non-Thais from all walks of life.  Since 2008, the trips have made lasting impressions, leaving participants touched by the experience and eager to help make a difference.

EDF is helping by:
  • Organizing trips for participants and donors to the target communities
  • Tailoring activities based on the participants’ particular areas of interest
  • Ensuring smooth and successful trips with activities that stay on schedule and within budget
  • Popular activities include visiting EDF project sites, staying at the local homes, making handcrafts and meeting scholarship students to learn about their lives and struggles

“It was obvious that the school could do with a lot more help.  I
t’s located so far away and is hard to reach; maybe
that’s why they didn’t get enough help.
But I was impressed with their tenacity
- persevering against all odds.”
