In cooperation with EDF-Japan, EDF organized a Get-well Set books & sports goods presentation to flood-affected schools in the provinces of Pathum Thani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, and Ubon Ratchathani. The presentation was made at each of the Primary Education Service Office in those provinces. |

Following the Great Tsunami in the northeastern part of Japan on March 11, 2011, many of the Japanese victims have been brutally affected by the Tsunami and earthquake. At that time, Thai people contributed financially to help out the Tsunami victims so much the Japanese felt very grateful for Thai people’s consideration. And at the end of the same year, Thailand also was severely affected by floods in the Central of Thailand. When heard about this the Japanese people returned the kindness to the Thai affected people through EDF-Japan, one of EDF affiliates stationed in Tokyo of which functions related to fundraising from the Japanese people, in forms of budget for the procurement of books and sporting goods to give to 244 flooded schools in the three provinces of Pathum Thani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, and Ubon Ratchathani. The Get-well Set books and sporting goods presented to schools aimed to consolidating and empowering the students and teachers so they actively get back to normal schooling.
