Kawin (Win), a Grade 5 student from Ratchaburi Province, is a child living with a physical disability. He is the youngest of four siblings, and his eldest sister also has a similar disability.
Since birth, Kawin has suffered from fragile bones and frequent illnesses. When his bones fracture, recovery takes a long time. During severe illness, his mother had to carry him everywhere, even to the bathroom.

Although he was able to walk during kindergarten, an accident in Grade 1 caused a serious leg fracture. Since then, Kawin has been unable to walk and now uses his hands to move himself from place to place.
Long periods of medical treatment forced him to stop attending school repeatedly, and at times, his eldest sister also had to miss school to stay home and care for him.

After suffering a leg fracture in Grade 1 and undergoing a long period of treatment, Kawin was never able to walk again.
Kawin’s mother is the sole breadwinner of the family after separating from his father. She works as a daily laborer in a rural area, where income is unstable and often insufficient. Despite these hardships, she remains determined to keep her disabled children in a mainstream school alongside other students.

In his free time, Kawin helps his mother with household chores as much as he can, reviews his lessons, and enjoys reading.
His dream is simple yet powerful — to complete lower secondary education (Grade 9). His mother wishes for him to be literate, knowledgeable, and able to earn a living and care for himself in the future.

For the 2026 academic year, Kawin has applied for an Inclusive Education Scholarship for Students with Disabilities from the EDF Foundation.
To him, this scholarship is not just financial support, but reassurance that his life has value and that his dreams are worth believing in.
Your generosity can help a determined child continue learning — and continue believing in himself.
