She lived in a small house built on temple grounds at Khao Kiri Wongkot Temple. Despite her strong determination and perseverance, she lacked the financial means to continue her education in seventh grade in the 2016 academic year.

From a Scholarship to a Life-Changing Opportunity
The scholarship Patcharaporn received not only enabled her to continue her education but also introduced her to her sponsor, whom she affectionately called "Uncle." He provided more than just financial support—he became a mentor and a source of encouragement during crucial moments in her life.
Not only did "Uncle" provide her with a scholarship, but he also served as a mentor and a constant source of encouragement during the critical years of her lower secondary education.
With unwavering dedication, Patcharaporn completed her lower secondary education. Although she lost contact with her sponsor during high school, the opportunity she received during that critical time helped her stay on the path toward her dreams.
Then, in 2022, EDF Foundation received incredible news from her teacher—Patcharaporn had successfully passed the entrance exam to study at Boromarajchonanee College of Nursing Buddhachinaraj in Phitsanulok! This milestone was made possible by the "opportunity" she received years ago.

The "opportunity" she received from "Uncle" many years ago became a key driving force that helped her overcome life's obstacles, ultimately enabling her to pass the entrance exam and successfully pursue a nursing degree.
Reconnecting with a Life-Changing Bond
Upon learning of Patcharaporn’s success, EDF Foundation helped her reconnect with her sponsor. Although they had never met in person, they were able to get back in touch, and her sponsor still remembered the little girl he once supported. He was overjoyed to hear that she had achieved her dream.

Even though Patcharaporn now receives a scholarship from her nursing college, her sponsor continues to provide additional support to ensure she can focus on her studies.
In the upcoming 2025 academic year, Patcharaporn will officially graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She is about to embark on the journey of "giving back"—helping society just as she was once helped.

Your Support Can Change a Life Forever
Patcharaporn’s story is just one of the thousands of lives transformed by EDF Foundation over the past 37 years. The support from donors is more than just financial aid—it is a "beacon of hope" that guides children past hardships and changes their futures forever.
Currently, more than 4,536 children are still waiting for the same opportunity.
While EDF Foundation cannot guarantee that every student will follow the same path as Patcharaporn, we firmly believe that "opportunity" is a turning point for underprivileged children. When they receive help at the most crucial moment, it empowers them to fight for a better future on their own.
