EDF’s projects participating Schools Exhibited Products in the “Sharing-Learning, Kids’ Power, Community Power” Conference to Celebrate Project Successes
From August 1-2, 2012, EDF organised a regional conference with school products exhibition fair called “Sharing-Learning, Kids’ Power, Community Power” at Petcharat Garden Hotel, Mueang Roi Et District, Roi Et Province.  At the conference, Mr Somkiat Rattanametathon, Roi Et Deputy Governor, honoured the grand opening.
Participants included more than 500 leading students, teachers, and community people from 66 schools and neighbouring communities participating school development projects of EDF in the 19 provinces of the Northeast of Thailand, including 45 schools running the “Power Kids Plus Project” sponsored by Thai Health Promotion Foundation (So So So), 16 schools running the “Barter Between Brothers Project” sponsored by UBS Securities (Thailand) Limited, and 5 schools participating in the “Agriculture for School Lunch Project and Dissemination of Nutrition Education” sponsored by Ajinomoto Co., Inc., Japan.

The exhibition fair and conference was considered the next “leap” for the students to express and show how good they were at pushing up the community power to promote the improvement of agriculture projects for lunch supply, as well as the internal health promotion through forums in this conference.  Apart from exhibition fair, every participant also participated in a conference titled “Why Generating Kid Power Enhancing Community Power?”, and watched talent shows called “Power Kids Plus Show” which students came up to demonstrate the best practices achieved from project implementation and management.

Every participant experienced and grasped best practices, techniques and implications that they could make the most use in the future or even apply to their existing school projects for the betterment of their schools themselves.
