Help Rebuild Flood-Affected Schools in Chachoengsao Province

Restore Safe Classrooms. Renew Educational Opportunities for Children.

The flooding in Chachoengsao Province in late September–October 2026 has affected schools and students’ families across the area. Small schools and families facing financial hardship have been particularly vulnerable, with significant damage and additional expenses arising from the recovery process after the floodwaters recede.

According to reports received, more than 19 schools participating in the EDF Foundation’s scholarship program in Chachoengsao Province have been affected by the flooding. Many of these schools urgently need to repair damaged school buildings and classrooms and replace teaching and learning equipment so that students and teachers can safely resume normal educational activities as soon as possible.

For underprivileged children and young people, the impact of flooding does not end when the water recedes. They may lose essential school supplies and everyday necessities, while their families struggle to repair their homes and restore their livelihoods. The disruption can also affect children's access to a safe and supportive learning environment.

When schools are damaged, children risk losing an essential place to learn, grow, and build their futures.

The EDF Foundation recognizes the urgent need to help restore flood-affected schools so that children can return to safe learning environments and continue their education without further disruption.

Your kindness can help rebuild schools and restore educational opportunities for children in Chachoengsao Province.

Rebuilding Schools to Help Children Return to the Classroom

Meeting the Needs of Schools After the Floods

Although the flood situation has begun to ease, school recovery requires funding, resources, and cooperation from all sectors of society. This is particularly important for small schools with limited budgets, which may struggle to replace damaged equipment or carry out necessary repairs using their own resources.

Damage to school buildings, teaching materials, and essential facilities can affect both the safety of students and teachers and schools' ability to provide effective education.

The EDF Foundation invites you to support the recovery of schools participating in its scholarship program, as well as other flood-affected schools in Chachoengsao Province, helping restore these schools as safe and supportive places for children to learn.

  • Replacement of Desks, Chairs, and Teaching Equipment — Replacing items damaged by floodwaters to help teachers and students resume normal classroom activities.
  • Books and Learning Resources — Restoring libraries and replacing textbooks and educational materials essential to children's learning.
  • Restoration of Toilets and Essential Facilities — Repairing sanitation facilities and essential utilities to promote health, hygiene, and safety within schools.
  • Essential Learning Equipment — Providing computers, electrical appliances, and educational supplies according to each school's needs.

Support will be allocated based on assessments of actual damage and each school's most urgent needs, helping ensure that donations are used appropriately and contribute to meaningful, tangible improvements in educational recovery.

Every Donation Helps Restore Education

Rebuilding schools after a flood means more than repairing buildings or replacing damaged equipment. It means helping children return to their teachers, learn alongside their friends, and grow in a safe and supportive environment once again.

Every contribution helps schools recover and enables children to continue their education with fewer interruptions.

Although the floods have damaged schools and communities, collective compassion and cooperation can help restore learning spaces and give children the opportunity to move forward with confidence.
