| | Interview with Dr. Prem Naidoo It seems to me that the meaning of life is something to do with connections and relationships. I am not sure what establishes a better relationship than giving to society and helping people in the world. I suspect that a contented life is much more to do with giving than receiving and that this is a truth discovered by many philanthropists.

| | SAMSUNG, Voicing Public Concern “Social activities of the business sector are similar to a small group of people voices for the public concern for the needy people, whose voices are soft that most people are unable to hear what is needed. Those that have a chance should make the voices heard for those that do not have a chance especially students in rural schools. The schools are not able to take care of the students efficiently due to the lack of quality human resources and a good education environment. More voices can encourage organizations to participate in making social contribution and benefit the society and also reduce the gap in Thai society.” |

Parents should value community service projects in their child’s school. Learning also takes place outside the school. The community service encourages the children to understand and learn more about others. They need to find a balance between their lives and learn more about the world around them and that is through community service.

| | Interview with Managing Director, Tokyodo Books: Ms. Omura Etsuko
“I feel so touched in my heart every time I see Japanese people make a donation through the cashier counter. Although they are all foreigners using different language, they are concerned about education and children in Thailand. Deep inside, I am sure that they do hope that those children will become good and educated people for their own sake. Therefore, I wish for every child, who is supported by EDF scholarships, to pay their best attention to their studies and be filled with strength to live on against all odds. And no doubt, the donors are waiting for opportunities to meet them in the near future.”

| | Interview with Khun Panus Jirawanitchakorn “I would like to pass on a message to all Thais to help the society, in particular, for disadvantaged children dealing with their education. I like to encourage those who are able to help by making donation even with a small amount, just to assist those waiting for your support. Perhaps, if we contribute on special occasions like our birthday party or other celebrations, the little sum could be used for a child’s education for several years to come. The help to disadvantaged children dealing with their education improves the society and surely, results on your own sense of fulfillment.” |

| | Interview Donor Ms. Yuwadee Chansue I am very delighted for other sponsors who understand the joy of giving and helping our society. For others who wish to help but do not know how, I believe that EDF is one of the best options. At times we can afford to reach out our hand and help but due to circumstances we are unable to go to the location ourselves, so EDF can represent us. I wish that more people see that helping disadvantaged people as a responsibility. We are born more fortunate than many others, so it’s only fair that we help those with fewer opportunities in life. |
