Marked the sixth year continuously that the “Bridgestone Rides the Future” Project has provided the scholarships and bicycles for underprivileged children whose house is very far from school in Northeastern.
The project is one of the Social Contribution activities of Thai Bridgestone Company that cooperate with The Education for Development Foundation (EDF) by Mr. Nobuyuki Tamura, Managing Director of the Thai Bridgestone Company. The ceremony of presenting scholarship and bicycle took place in Mahasarakarm and Yasothon Province on 7th – 8th July 2011. Therefore, we intend to present 3-year scholarship together with bicycle to 200 needy students in this year totaling 1,900,000 Baht worth.
In the afternoon, it was even more special when the Bridgestone Go Green Adventure cycling campaign was organized under the concept of raising awareness of environmental conservation and enhances the significance of Sufficiency Economy, was held in Mahasarakarm Province. The program was very attractive and enjoyable for all participants. EDF wish that a wonderful collaboration on a project like this would last forever in Thailand.
