For the 2025 academic year, the EDF foundation recently visited 3 schools in the Northeastern region following up activities relating to the Self-Reliance and Sustainable Development Project.

The visit included
-
Ban Lao Chan Na Pu School (Mahasarakam province) focusing on value-added products from germinated brown rice (Khao Hang Ngok in Thai) and other local ingredients, such as fermented fish chili paste, Khao Hang crispy rice dessert and Khao Hang banana cake.

Ban Non Sangsri School (Mukdahan province) operating vocational training projects to generate income, including cultivating sajor-caju mushrooms, raising catfish in cement ponds, and making grass brooms.

Ban Kwangklee Chuchart School (Nakhon Phanom province) implementing a vocational skills project for income generation where students collectively grew hydroponic vegetables and produced herbal inhalers.
The foundation team also visited facilities improvement at Ban Huay Ta Poe School (Mukdahan province) for computer room renovation and Ban Had Khoun School (Nakhon Phanom province) for improving motorcycle parking garage for students. Additionally, the team visited the foundation scholarship recipients communicating with them about their education, future dreams and provided them with some household items.
