Asian NGO Leadership Program (ANLP)
5th-7th September, 2012
At around 14.00 on 5th September, 2012, there were 8 participants from the Asian NGO leadership Program (ANLP) from Japan led by Prof. Michio ITO visited EDF. After Mr. Sunphet Nilrat, Managing Director of EDF welcomed all guests and introduced to know each other, then EDF showed them about EDF project presentation and Mr. Sunphet explained more about philosophy, organizational structure and how to initiate development projects from the beginning.
The team traveled to Udon Thani province by night train. One day one night experience at Ban Nong Wanghee School  was a fruitful experience for the team because there were a variety of activities arranged for them such as a welcome ceremony in Isan style called “Bai See Soo Kwan”, School project presentation, school project visit, home visit to scholar’s family. Moreover, the team got a chance to discuss with community leaders and monk at a temple nearby village about ideas for community development.

Last day on 7th September, 2012, the group crossed border to Vientiane and visited EDF-Lao and Primary school in Vientiane. Hopefully, ANLP participants are clearly understood about EDF projects, as we organized lectures and project presentation by PowerPoint and let them observe the real situation in the project site.
