Senior Citizens Smiles One day camp |

July 6th, 2012: EDF and American Women’s Club of Thailand (AWC) launched a co-project named “Senior Citizens Smiles” aiming to provide appropriate healthcare information, guidance and advice to enable the elderly people in rural Thailand to better take care for themselves and their grandchildren.
The participants included 130 people consisting of representatives of 25 elderly per school and groups of 25 students per school.

Both groups need to better understand the needs and challenges of the other to help them support one another and organized at the Dong Yang Narai School in Penn District and Nong Wang Hee School in Nong Wua Sor District, Udonthani Province.
For the first session opening has been health care check up by local primary care unit such as body weight, blood pressure, Hypoglycemia testing, and has Lectured in topic “Health care for senior citizens” details are physical health for senior citizens, Healthy eating, Mental Health by peer group has very interested in the activity. After in afternoon session we divide two groups for brainstorming session for action plan activity in a Senior Citizens Smile project they wrote the action plan such as yoga for adolescent aged, economy agricultural, age-old wisdom for children and the end of time final session summary activity they are also very happy to join in “Senior Citizens Smiles” one day camp and they promise excellent everything to do in this project.
